Three Ecosystems

Enjoy the three ecosystems of RMNP: the montane, the valley areas of pines and aspens, the subalpine, full of engleman spruce, and the alpine tundra above treeline.

You're viewing Mt. Chapin, Chapin Pass (the snow gully), and the north side of Mt. Chiquita. Snowmelt is talking place rapidly, and soon I'll take you up there so that you can enjoy the lonr-range views. Right now, though, the very substantial snowpack is keeping us all from accessing the trails.
