Many Are Actually One

This stand of aspens may look like many trees, but in fact the entire bunch is connected via an underground root system, thereby making the grove one large, living organism. Every tree is identical to the one next to it.

Although aspens are very common in Colorado, the largest stand is in Utah, and I think it may compete with the Great Barrier Reef as the world's largest living thing.
