The earth moved

So today got off to an uneventful start with a lovely walk with HRH before a leisurely brunch with friends. Shortly after 4pm however the Christmas lights in my apartment began to sway, then the building. Three earthquakes were felt here in quick succession but thankfully registering just under 4 on the Japanese scale which ranges from 0-7.

Sadly, elsewhere was much stronger with a massive 7.6 earthquake striking Ishikawa Prefecture, in central Japan, along the Japan Sea coast triggering major tsunami warnings. A terrifying start to 2024 for so many. The woofer slept through it all!
