New Year’s Day walk

The sun was shining by 11:00am so a walk seemed very desirable after the longest deepest sleep I can remember - 1 only had one (probably a double) Glenmorangie.

I chose a quieter route but still met quite a few people to say Happy New Year to. I was always the first to speak and only one person failed to stop for a chat about the sunshine or at least say Happy New Year.

My walk included a false start (my Sister became a non-runner), an abandoned first choice (walking straight into bright sunshine was not good) and finally a very pleasing circular walk over 6 different stiles.  Dad would have enjoyed my choice, Mum would have turned back after the first one she only had little legs.

the Extra Photo is a collage of phone camera shots of all 6 stiles I climbed.
I only fell off one of them, the lowest, but without serious injury.

The main photo is a favourite view to Cown Edge but from a higher view point than most of my photos.

Best Wishes to everyone on a day I chose to be happy ( thanks must go to Clare Grogan seen on Mortimer & Whitehouse Gone Hogmanay Fishing)
