NYE!

A slow morning and then off to Illetes to try and walk to the furthest end of it - which we managed! Hooray! A beautiful and very windy walk - all the kite surfers were out doing their thing. Some of them were being lifted metres into the air! 
We had an extremely blustery picnic at the tip of the island then walked back along. The one side was very rough, and the other much calmer. We came across this tiny cove which was protected, so stayed whilst Asha dipped her feet in the sea, Nate had a play, we had some Cava and read our books. A wonderful and unplanned stop that added a good hour to the walk. The benefit of holidays hey, no schedule to stick to.
We went to see the last sunset of the year, and then back to the cottage for Danny to make us 'Hampsons Special Cheeseburgers' for our NYE dinner.
Movies til midnight and then a clink of glasses with excited kids!

Lots to reflect on this year...good things and hard things...lots learned.

Today I'm grateful for;
1) The privilege of a holiday, and a holiday like this!
2) Danny doing pretty much all the cooking this holiday...so appreciated by me!!
3) New things to come in 2024...not least my course which starts in 3 weeks!
