Miniature Narcissus.

The blossom popped out despite the rain and I liked it covered in raindrops .

We met our group for coffee at Trail House this morning and everyone was in good form following Christmas with our respective families.

It started raining in earnest as we accomplished a couple of errands and then came home to finish packing up the ornaments…not a bad thing to do in the rain. Putting the bins up on the high shelves in the garage was a joint effort with John on the ladder receiving the bins I handed up to him. I usually am a little bit more organized in my packing, but rediscovering things will be the task for next year.

I feel I’m still playing catch-up with a few New Years cards to send. Our stationary store closed during the pandemic and the new one slated for Montgomery Village has yet to open. We went, of all places, to the car wash which has quite a well curated gift shop in the waiting area. There didn’t seem to be much point in getting the car washed in the rain, and there didn’t seem to be any customers in a usually busy place.

Dana and Jim stopped by for a chat after buying a painting for their living room from our neighbor. Peter has gone to Tahoe for a few days although there isn’t much snow yet

Will is playing golf in the pouring rain and wind at Bodega Bay where there is a high surf advisory with waves up to 40!feet and constant reminders to stay off the rocks and away from the cliff edges and not to turn one’s back to the ocean. Doesn’t sound like much of a day for golf….

Spike is getting a little stir crazy and is trying to sit in my lap.
