Skerryvore at the O2 Edinburgh

The first part of the day was spent preparing for and enjoying a large family gathering for a lunchtime buffet. Ten adults and 7 children made short work of the food and created a fair amount of washing up and piles of discarded wrapping paper from a frenzy of present opening after lunch.

In between times I spoke to Chris in California. He’s not got the children this weekend do it was a good opportunity to talk without being distracted by the two kids.

We were excused most of the washing Ip owing to having to attend a sold out concert by Skerryvore: https://youtu.be/GtE5nFayZe8?si=1q2kL8ITf666wUf6 who we have seen a few times in Kent. This was a whole different experience. Instead of a rapturous seated audience comprising mainly of greying folkies, the Edinburgh gig was a standing crowd of all ages giving their all to one of Scotland’s top folk rock, dualling bagpipes band.

So, according to Blip, this is my 11th anniversary and we’re back where it all started on 1st January 2013. The proper anniversary will be in a couple of days time. You wait a long time for these landmarks then like buses two come close on each other’s heels.

I have no idea how many active members there are. Or how many images have been taken. I regularly still come across blippers who have been at it longer than me. Unfortunately, you can’t follow everyone!!
