Boxing Day (almost)

A few days late but we stuck to tradition and had a more relaxed day. The weather was a bit uninspiring but we needed the fresh air so headed out for a walk round the nature reserve. We didn’t get anywhere very quickly with Teddy’s little legs and no pushchair!
Back home and more food to prepare. This time our Boxing Day buffet. Prawns & avocado to start followed by all the leftovers, cold cuts, smoked salmon, pickles, salads and cheese board. Delicious!
We watched a Welsh Christmas in the evening; Max stayed up to watch it this year :)
Once the very tired children were in bed, we played one of our new Xmas games; 5 second relay, great fun. Even Andrew joined us!
Everyone is tired though and, although they were thinking of staying for another day, they decided they’ll go home tomorrow. It’s bittersweet because we love being together but it’s getting harder each time now that Anna & Hilton have Teddy; we don’t really have space to sleep everyone, one bathroom which always seems busy and a couple of grumpy men who don’t always appreciate the hustle and bustle of it all. Mum & Dad’s van had a slow puncture and they were anxious about getting home to get it sorted.
We could do with a day to get the house turned around before the next few busy days but I’ll be sad to say goodbye to everyone too…
