Nut crackers

Mum and Dad left this morning and we spent the rest of the day sorting a few bits around the house whilst Anya and Max played with new toys, built more Lego sets, made ice creams with the kinetic sand…
After lunch I got the Christmas nuts (which we always buy and never eat :) The kids enjoyed having a go, tasting and then rating each nut from best to worst. The walnut won, they weren’t keen on the almond. Anya then discovered how delicious hazelnut and chocolate are together!

Max enjoyed the relaxed day and commented “This has been a good day!”
This evening Andrew is out to meet up with old school friends so Anya and I snuggled in front of the fire to watch A Little Princess, a film based on a book we read together over the summer.
