Together at last

Yesterday family travelled here to spend a few days with us. Two made the journey from Cornwall; the rest of the family from Kent. They all set off just when they were ready, did not know how long it would take them and obviously took totally different routes. Imagine how surprised we all were when they arrived at the gate at exactly the same time. What were the chances of that happening I wonder.

Late to arrive, very late to bed, but everyone slept well. Leisurely breakfast, most managed a 7 mile walk up into the hills behind Dufton Pike - in all weathers. Late lunch and lots of chat. A few hours everyone doing their own thing (including a session of block printing - see extra). Then we all went out for a delicious meal. A good day - more tomorrow.
