Mid-afternoon Treat

I used to wait until 3pm to sit back with a milky coffee while I watched "Escape To The Country" but now, any time after 2pm will do!

This is my seasonal treat: a mince pie with my coffee. Obviously this is a bought one. My gran used to make her own and then sprinkle them with icing sugar before serving.

This is the very same tea-strainer she used to use.

Coffee and scone-eating came late today as we had a change-over day at the lodge. The outgoing visitors had enjoyed themselves here again and have already booked next year's Christmas week. The incoming visitors are new to Amber Nook but soon sent a text about how great it is.
