A lovely afternoon with Cheryl and Ivy, the latter being very happy in her Griffindor outfit and led magic wand...

After they had left we had a call from Charlotte who was trying to get home from Cumbria by train and had managed to get as far as Preston. She's currently on her way back to Kendal now and will try again tomorrow - because she has a bridesmaid dress fitting in the morning, in Bath! Storm Gerrit continues to offer bonus points for laughs... She's back to Lisbon the next day too... hopefully.

The rain is blattering on the back of the house as I type. I can't imagine how bad it must be 'oop north'.
