Merry Christmas from us to you!

It was a very mild, but dismal day outside, but we put on the Christmas lights, and spent a wonderful day, enjoying each others company, eating (too much!), opening presents and playing games, plus a phone call with Roger’s Dad and sister and brother in law. It turned out to be quite a “bookish” Christmas present wise - we had bought Laura a Kindle, and Jen and Jason books, Roger bought me a book, and Jen bought Jason a book! Jen and Jason bought us a grill to use with our camper, which will be great! It was late afternoon/early evening by the time we’d had our dinner and opened our presents, and then we all played a game of Wingspan, a board game featuring birds and their habitats, which Laura had bought us two years ago. It’s quite a complicated game to set up and get the hang of playing, so we tend only to play it when we’re together.
Unfortunately, Jason had arrived with a cold, so he and Jen went to bed fairly early, leaving Roger, Laura and I to play a couple of games of Qwirkle.
