Stormy and Wet

Two presents still under our tree, from Clara for Ruth and I.   Very special, personal gifts including this beautiful crocus tree decoration which will join the snowdrops my sister gave me a couple of years ago when I get home tomorrow. 

Here in the midlands it's been thoroughly wet but the worst of the storm was much further north.   I did get Meg out for a walk under broken cloud when the rain cleared away after dark.  First thing a local GP checked my cuts over.  He thought it was the right thing to get them checked but as we'd done all the right things immediately after the accident, there's a good chance I'll have no big problems although it will be a two or three weeks before they heal.

Otherwise a restful day apart from kitchen duties.  I've watched more telly today than I usually do in a month ... not all of it with my eyes open though!
