Boxing Day Match
For the first time in four years, Yeovil were at home on Boxing Day, so Chris and I were given special dispensation to watch our 4-1 victory over close neighbours Taunton. We put on a great attacking performance, especially in the first half when our pace and movement was too much for the Taunton defence. In the second half we were content to conserve our energy but still scored twice more before conceding a late consolation goal. The crowd of over 6300 was another record for this League.
The blip shows the Taunton number 5 taking the Boxing idea a little too literally (or more like wrestling).
We were back home for the traditional dinner of cold meats, jacket potatoes and cheesy leeks and an evening of board games and Newmarket.
