Trixie

Doingok’s acquisition of a Border Collie/Poodle reminded me of my dog Trixie brought on the bus by my aunt from Edinburgh for my 7th birthday. She was a mongrel, a Border Collie and Spaniel. She had the intelligence of the collie and was a great companion to me, an only child on a farm. When I got her I was judged too young to be allowed to walk the 4 miles return to the village to meet friends to play. I was allowed to walk to and from Sunday school though!

It’s been a miserable day, raining non-stop. The haugh is flooded and sheep had to be rescued quickly as the river came up a lot faster than normal. Apparently the roads out of the village are impassable for normal cars. I’m glad it’s not today we are going to the Whitley Bay Panto. Oh yes I am.
