A Break...

...in the Gloom...temporary but welcome!  

It was worth getting up early to go to the lake this morning to see it...to watch the sky morph from a streak of solid red on the horizon to orange and red with an etching of yellow (extra) to that full blown sunrise... a great way to start the day....and such a wonderful change from what has been an endless series of gray mornings...

Alas, it did not last...but the mild weather has; I bundled up for the sunrise, but was able to shed it all and go with a light trench coat to do a couple of Boxing Day errands... 

No hint of snow in the forecast - just rain.... for which I suppose I should be grateful and upon which I will look back fondly in the bitterly cold, windy and snow-shovelling days of January? Really?
