Craighouse and the Trossachs

A clear day, frost everywhere.  A quiet morning editing photos and posting them to FB and blipfoto for the Christmas Eve and Christmas Day walks.

After lunch, partner and I head to the Braid Hills as the blue sky is still here. Unfortunately some light cloud does move in to darken the scene, which i snot well lit anyway as the sun is very low in the sky. Extra shows Edinburgh Castle with the Angus Hills in the background. Extra 2 shows snow covered Ben Vrackie and Beinn A'Ghlo with an orange tint to the scene as the sun is already setting (it's 14:35!!!). The main blip of Craighouse with the Trossachs in the background. The Wallace Monument can also be seen at the base of the 'triangular' Ben Ledi.

Unfortunately during the walk the heels on my walking boots have disintegrated. A shame, but the boots have lasted 13 years. Berghaus still make the same model with a slight difference to the grip pattern. I manage to find a replacement pair on offer, so new boots should be here for the New Year walk.
