Weird Sky.

In the end we didn't get a storm last night, but there were some very weird clouds in the sky.

The storm we had on Christmas Day is now being classified as a tornado, something we don't normally get.

Our street came out unscathed, apart from our fence and a tree two doors down.

We've still got power in our street and the street behind us, whereas nearly all the houses around us do not.

But we've got no mobile coverage.

Some of the streets around us look like a war zone.  Some houses have literally been blown apart.  I haven't actually seen any yet, but the number of trees that have come down is really sad to see.

We've seen a few dead birds too.  Some birds are so stunned or shocked that they let you approach them without moving, even the usual noisy cockatoos are very quiet.

The cleanup is underway, but it will take months to sort some things out.  Several schools have been badly damaged, but we haven't heard anything about the girl's school yet.
