Heuchera

.....or Coral Bells so called flower stems.  I've given them the intentional camera movement treatment.  A bit late, but I thought they looked slightly christmasy.
No rain but overcast and very cool.
As has happened before a few times previous, the phone rang mid morning with the conversation from a dear friend - "aha, you're home, I'll come for lunch" .  "No worries" says me.  While thinking, what can I rustle up quickly.  Actually, I had no trouble - pizza, coleslaw, cold ham, beetroot tomatoes/peppers/cucumber tossed in a dressing and served with sourdough breads.  Followed by pikelets and fruit mince tarts (with whipped cream).
