Oil lamp from Nazareth

The week has caught up with me today! I woke bright and very early due to the time difference etc. I forced myself to go back to sleep to try and rebalance my clock ... and I went off soundly and lost half the morning. Got up, caught up on some blips, mowed the lawn ... then fell asleep. Had lunch ... then fell asleep. Did the shopping ... then fell asleep. Sorted some pictures ... then fell asleep. You get the pattern?

This is a traditional oil lamp, a present from first century Nazareth. We were each given one but we weren't allowed to have them before we passed through airport security as they are seen as potential little bombs and cause problems. Our group leader carried all 46 in one bag through security instead ... I'm not sure why 46 potential bombs together are better than one! However, given the grilling I had anyway at security I'm pleased I didn't have one in my bag!

I have done quite a bit on my pictures today and hopefully will upload some from the journey tomorrow.
