In January when I was in Venice, Bowlby took ill and required medication. This had to be given in meat, so our previous regime of dried food only was abandoned. Since then both cats have pestered us for soft food and we have indulged them allowed them to have some.

Bowlby is inclined to lick the gravy and leave the meat, whereas Carla, pictured, eats everything. Over time we have tried Whiskas, Morrisons, Sainsburys and Felix pouches, but the one they both adore is Vitacat. Even Bowlby clears her plate.

Now wasn't that fascinating?!

PS I do know that you should not use a percentage if your sample number is less than 100. I'm only following in the footsteps of Whiskas "8 out of 10 cats" slogan.

PPS Did I mention that neither of them will eat the Whiskas?

PPPS Our cats are not allowed on kitchen surfaces, but I popped Carla up there to take this picture. She was not happy until she and the meat bowl were on the ground, so I had to lie on the kitchen floor. Cats - who would have them?!
