Christmas Day walk

We parked by The Coledale Inn, Braithwaite near Keswick.

A couple of young men had a quick swim in the beck!

We did a 4 mile circular walk through the Coledale valley, down to Uzzicar, then back by the woods and the Coledale beck.

At times the weather was wild! Gale force wind and sweeping rain! Then it calmed down, then it started up again!

Home for a hot shower...off to friends for tea + Christmas cake...then we'll have our dinner tonight.

( Well over 200 people turned up for carols by the Christmas tree last night. Cockermouth Mechanics Band played the tunes. )
