THE DAY STARTED WARM

and soon it became sultry. Piet Hein had suggested to clean (with the Kärger machine) the terrace and started it half way the morning,
Till now there had been hardly a day to enjoy sitting there.
At lunchtime it was hot! very hot and at four o'clock the sky became terrifying coloured and then it started to rain, rather strongly, and lightening and thundering came soon over us. It happened not to be too severe and at this moment some light thundering sounds one can hear in the distance.
At 10 am. I took some pictures of several little ones. I let Piet Hein choose from 5 shots. I liked this one too, here on flickr.
The blip shows a hoverfly I suggest.

I did some research about the caterpillars ( tuesday 18-06-2013 ) and found that they are ermine moths.
They are named after the kind of tree or bushes they like to eat the leafs of.
Each year at several spots in and around The Hague there are invasions and neighbourhoods somehow panick about the mess they can make.
There are 700 hundred kinds of yponomentidae, belonging to the lepidoptera family.

My haiku:

From the south I heard
The thunderstorm come and go
Too old to hide now

And the proverb:

Hij/zij zou wel het waarom van het waarom willen weten.

Translation:

He/she would rather like to know the why of the why.
