THIS NEW LITTLE FRIEND AWAITED ME

after a long journey to the Weser Uplands today. The garden a bit of a jungle, but although it is now still very hot, the flowers seem not to have suffered too much.
I see some red roses, sweet pink ones and the daring ones that already lived here when we came. These are intertwined with for the first time lovely purple clematis flowers.

My haiku:

Green bellied spider
Tiny that's for sure runs
And rests in a rose

The proverb:

De rozentijd is bij hem/haar uit.

Translation and meaning:

There don't blossom roses any longer for him/her.
