My Janome

It couldn't last! After the one project, my Singer sewed it's last stitch.

I was trying my hand at another bag - trying to do a better job than the last one, when the blasted thing stopped working. We took the bottom cover off the machine to find that one of the plastic cog-things (a worm - I think it's called) had broken off. I was gutted! I kicked my heels for a few days and decided I really did want to get sewing.

So, this morning we drove over to the other side of Manchester and with a bit of guidance, I bought this beauty.

The sales lady had me hooked when she mentioned that it was the same machine used on 'The Great British Sewing Bee'. I'm guessing sales of this particular model have shot up since that was shown.

Anyway, here she is. I'm hoping that I can produce something worth using/wearing with her. She's certainly up to it - I just hope I am!!!
