Sunshine today

There is still lots of ice underfoot so not good for walking the trails. I did a short walk on one of the paved trails till I got to a section where the water runs down a hill and freezes on the trail. There was no way to get around it. I tried to go to one of the other entrances to the trail and it was even worse. A guy was walking his bike down the slope to get to the main trail and he would have done better if he had skates on, it was a sheet of ice. I did get to do a bit of harbor watching, one ship was arriving and another one was leaving.

Tonight a friend and I went for a drive to Fall River, one of the suburbs of HRM. They had posted a map with some light displays. My blip for today is from one that we visited, I also visited it last year.  Several cars had stopped and people were walking around the yard to see the display. We stopped for a couple of minutes at another display that we have visited in previous years. A video of it works better than still photos, but I did not try to get close enough for a video. There were about 15 cars lined up on one side of the road and another 10 on the other side of people stopped to see the display.
Bird watching in the back yard today too. I do have 2 pine warblers, they were both on the deck at the same time this afternoon. Not close enough for me to get a photo of them together, but they were there long enough for me to be sure there are 2.
