Christmas Lights

A day of tidying, cleaning and baking, after which I made a chicken curry for supper. Just before it was ready to serve we had an unexpected visit from our middle son and two youngest granddaughters. (Mummy needed an empty house so she could wrap presents in secret.) They stayed for a couple of hours then, after they’d gone, we had a lovely long FaceTime with our eldest son and his partner. Thus it’s now 8.45 pm and there’s a mountain of washing up still to do, so my time for Blip has been somewhat curtailed.

My photo was taken on a quick walk down to the Broadway this afternoon. While I was doing the baking I discovered a malfunction in our larder stock control system – there was no granulated sugar left with which to make a batch of Nutty Joys. (We don’t normally get through much, but since The Traveller has been back the consumption rate has vastly increased.) So a quick trip to buy a bag of sugar was required.
