Off With His Head!

Sorry, wrong story.

Unwrapping the nativity set, which, after last Christmas, had been carefully packed with shredded paper and bubble-wrap, I discovered that a Wise man/King had suffered a breakdown and lost his head. He is currently standing with an attractive veil of sticky tape while the glue sets to restore his dignity. By Epiphany he will be able to visit the Christ Child with his head held high.

He's not the only one, though, as one of the hand-mixer beaters also lost its head. However, as this had happened before, we had bought another pair, so I had a spare but have ordered another pair, just in case another decides to break up.

There is still much to prepare for our family Christmas but we don't stand on ceremony so are in relaxed mood.
