Ewan is 10

To have a birthday either side of Christmas Day must be hard for a child but Ewan, 10 today, is stoic about getting all his year’s presents in 2 days. I asked my Glasgow daughter to send me a photo of him so that I could purloin it for today’s blip and she also sent me one of the family’s birthday card to him.
 Ewan is an expert on all things railway orientated and knowing that explains the spoof London Oyster card drawn by his Dad.


I ventured into town early this morning against my better judgement but was amazed to find the shops quiet. Where were the hordes? Even the local shops seemed empty.
It felt very strange to walk along George Square with no one in sight not even one student.
