Long day to Mercy Hospital in Cork for annual cardiac outpatients apt. All good and a welcome Xmas present for me. Travelling time 3 hrs each way and a 3 hr wait in OPD, it was crazy busy and I was almost the last to be seen. This nurse was so kind to me and then to this man who was distressed about some news. She spent ages just letting him talk and then got a taxi for him . It’s always humbling to see such gentle kindness.
Xmas dinner with f few neighbours , lots of food and laughter and flowing wine as always at Katrina’s . Lovely night.
