Hill Top Ramblings

Chocolatier

I had a lovely morning helping Wendy make a gingerbread house, she ate rather a lot of cookie dough though!
When that was baked Uncle Andrew, Auntie a Katie and Imogen arrived for a few days with us. We settled them in and then went back to the gingerbread, gluing it together with lots of snowy icing. I’m afraid Wendy ate some of that too….
But while I was keeping her busy, Gilly was getting on with one of our Christmas must haves, home made chocolate truffles! Usually we end up doing them Christmas Eve because we have run out of time but this is the earliest ever, and Gilly made them single handed. I think she rather enjoyed doing it, especially as they turned out perfectly!
Then we went for a bit of exercise up the lane to look at the newly refurbished Rose Cottage. It’s like something out of Country Life!
Bak home for more food prep - a roast beef dinner. Graham thinks that the PJs do nothing but talk about food, make food, eat food……
