Kite surfing at Allonby

We used to live near Allonby for ten years...

In the photo you can see The Solway Firth, Criffel ( a mountain in Dumfries and Galloway in Scotland ), and a kite surfer!

There was a stiff breeze as we walked for about a mile at Allonby today. The teashop was open so we had a light lunch.

Walking back to the car we spotted this kite surfer...rather him than me on a cool Winter's day!

Anyway, today is The Winter Solstice, so the afternoons will be staying lighter before too long!  Yipppppppeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!
