Cosy Christmas At Stourhead
We got a fair bit of the Christmas food shop done first thing before Kate and Sophie came over and drove us to Stourhead, the National Trust property, where all the rooms were decorated for Christmas with each tree trimmed according to a different theme. The Music Room was my favourite with three trees to represent the Magi.
We then walked through the gardens, the top part of which are set up for the annual Christmas Light Show, and around the lake, where Sophie particularly liked the Grotto. All the way round she entertained us making up stories about elves and fairies, unicorns and Smurfs (!) and their adventures in the gardens.
By the time we’d finished we were ready for lunch at the cafe.
In extras, are another of the trees, some giant baubles which are part of the light show and two of Kate, Sophie and Tess, with Sophie in cheeky mood in the last one!
