(354) Highlight

I had my blip taken care of before lunch time today with a bike ride down to the coast in glorious sunshine. However, as of late afternoon that image has been relegated to third place after the appearance of some very bright polar stratospheric clouds in the the darkening sky. As I was home at the time I was able to get a few decent shots with a DSLR and telephoto lens. I'd have liked to capture a time-lapse sequence as the patches of iridescence shifted shape and position but I had a previous arrangement so had to settle for  half dozen snaps instead.
