Lines

The lines are in the cover of our furnace vent. When we got up this morning there was pink fluff coming out of several of them. After considering various dog culprits we decided that it was probably rodents in the insulation around the ducts under the house and called our HVAC company. A lovely guy, Abdullah arrived, went under there and came out and showed us pictures of the massive rodent damage to our ductwork.

Looks like we are getting a new heat pump system for Christmas. Abdullah is in the driveway in his truck doing paperwork and waiting for James, the field manager to arrive and got over the options and costs with us. James is the guy who talked us out of a heat pump less than a year ago, but that was before the ducts were destroyed. Now the heat pump is looking like a much better option, if they can fit it in our attic, and what I wanted anyway. 

This is not exactly the way we expected it to happen but we weren't exactly unprepared.

But first we have to call the rodent abatement company....

I need a drink....
