View from work, again (Day 3143)

Sigyn gave me a bit of a scare this morning when I couldn't rouse her from her slumbers to get out for her morning walk, it was a bit of a relief when she finally answered my call and joined me for a walk.
The job for today was supposed to be fitting a shower tray at the neighbour's, but when I arrived I was told there was a leak from some valves in the central heating. The valves shouldn't have been on the system at all, and were guaranteed to leak at some point. It took a couple of hours to remove them and get everything connected up again. An air bleed valve on one of the radiators went wrong next, and wouldn't turn off. I stemmed the spray of water with my thumb, and was lucky the customer's father appeared. I got him to stem the flow while I got tools to sort the radiator.
When I finally got to make a start on fitting the tray, I realised the legs for it were missing, so zoomed to town to collect them.
I hadn't been back at the job long when a phone call brought expected but unwanted bad news. I passed the news to my beautiful wife and eventually managed to get the tray fitted before calling it a day and heading to see Mum and Dad.
I have had better days.
