The Paterson clock and R.L.Stevenson

It’s been a quiet day in Bridge of Allan …. so I walked into town searching for a photo.
Maybe it's time again to mention the Paterson clock first blipped in October 2011. It was built in 1898 as a memorial to Dr Alexander Paterson, the town’s popular doctor.

It is understood Dr Paterson, an international horticulturist, inspired the young R. L. Stevenson, then a frequent visitor to this spa town for his poor health , to later write Treasure Island.
