Butcher's Stone

Abernyte graveyard has an amazing collection of ancient gravestones, not least of which is this Butcher's Stone, from around 1729. There's a heart, and butcher's tools, depicted; but the main focus is watched from either side by sheep, with a dog holding down a cow, ready for the butcher to strike the fateful blow with an axe.

It's a beautiful piece of carving, with cherubs on the shoulders.
