Down on the beach
It was a fairly dull windy day as I set off to a water fitness class. Fortunately the water in the pool was nice and warm and a little steamy, just how I like it. Doors and some windows were open too. It was an enjoyable class full of Christmas carols and lots of dancing moves so great fun. By the end of the session the sun had made an appearance and was shining down on us.
Back home I set about wrapping up the Christmas presents that needed to go in the post. A friend called round for some sourdough starter and we had a good catch up as we hadn't seen each other for awhile. I then finished wrapping the presents. At some point in the afternoon I could hear shooting from the fields behind us and could see the telltale signs of white flags being waved to flush out the pheasants. A couple of pheasants had made it into the file right by our garden so hopefully they escaped. I took a couple of photos with the along lens to see what was happening. I think they had just finished by then, see extra.
One the parcels were finished I headed down to the post office and took a walk along the beach. The sky was fairly cloudy and dark but there were a few hints of pink around in the distance. There was a sudden flurry of gulls as a fisherman walked down to his boat but the birds quickly settled when he didn't have anything of interest for them.
This evening we picked up our son after his work trip to Athens. He had a good time with lots of work related activities and discussions during the day.
