Wednesday: Nighttime Stores

As with any trip to the UK there is always a fair bit of admin/running around to do. Today was a day of shopping and phonecalls to the bank and other institutions.

The best bit was this evening.  My family from Newcastle are down to watch a show and had no idea we were in the UK, let alone London.  With the help of Cousin J’s partner, S, we surprised them at the meal they had booked beforehand. To say they were stunned would be about right, particularly as they thought we were thousands of miles away in Belize.  We only captured a bit of it on video, and not on photos, but sometimes experiencing things like that in the moment takes precedence over photos.  We’ll be seeing them again tomorrow.
