It was raining when I looked out at 7 o’clock. I decided to go and do my last Kendal shop before Christmas. Before that I went to look for something that I thought might have been on a high shelf in one of the cupboards on the landing. It wasn’t, but I did find some ancient cameras. I’ll have a better look at them next year.

The sun appeared mid morning so after lunch I had a bus ride to the Low Wood Hotel and walked back. Some Mallards were by the shore and Donald on the log waited patiently while I got the camera out and adjusted the settings. The view to the Langdale Pikes is in the extra.
