A blue sky afternoon after a cold grey morning which I spent on the sofa inside my down sleeping bag. I had the central heating on too.

I watched some morning tv for the first time in 5 months. There was an item on a BBC programme which I found very interesting. A week or so ago I watched with amazement out of the bedroom window as insects flew several metres upwards and then down catching the sunlight. I hadn’t a clue what they were. Now I know …….. they were ‘winter gnats’.
