My Take on The Field of Dreams

When The Field of Dreams came out in 1989, we immediately went to see it, and every time it comes on TV now, I rewatch it. A good movie.

Years after it came out, we had the chance to see the actual field. "Is this Heaven? "No, it's Iowa." Dyersville, Iowa to be exact. The small city also has The National Farm Toy Museum, and a minor basilica. A nice place to visit.

In another favorite line in the movie, most everyone wants to say..."If you build it, they will come." But the line is first said by Shoeless Joe Jackson..."If you build it, he will come." The "he" ends up being the father of the guy who built the field.
