Mangananimous
Today was another train strike day which would normally mean, as I've mentioned in previous blips, that my brother would have to book yet another day off as his employers make him take it as holiday despite the fact that he can't get into work.
However, on this occasion he was actually given a laptop so he could work form home. Whilst most of his work cannot be done at home there are occasions where it can so I have no idea why it has taken his employers so long to come up with this solution - he could have been doing this months ago and not been forced to use 10 days of his holiday entitlement.
He was so happy that he didn't have an energy sapping commute at least for today but he did find it quite tiring in a different way having to sit in front of a screen all day as he's usually on his feet working in a studio.
It was also a glorious winter's day and at lunchtime we were able to stroll down in the sunshine to our village for a pint at our local.
Today's image was taken on the walk down there - it's of a sticker of a little manga character and is one of several embellishments that have rather curiously appeared on one of the road signs as you enter the village.

Since the 1950's , manga has become an increasingly major part of the Japense publishing industry - with the market recently hitting a record of 675.9 billion yen (aprroximately $3.5 billion dollars) in Japan itself, $250 million in North America and 640 million euros in France alone.
