A catch-up day: a visit to an old friend in the morning, and to the hairdresser in the afternoon.
Russell (the hairdresser) was still finishing a late lunchtime sandwich when I got there, so I had a play with the phone camera for a few minutes, looking at his Christmas decorations and his 'sale' box.
Just over a week to go until the shortest day; once we turn that corner, the thought of increasing light - even without the need for discounted sunscreen - makes a big difference.
