Monday

No.1 had an appointment at the RM today.  Since her last hospital stay they have been checking her bloods fortnightly.  One of the effects of the chemo is to reduce the platelet count, which in turn can cause bleeding and needs to be watched.  It was a relatively short visit compared to some (2.5 hours) but her platelets were a bit low and she needs to return for another blood test on Wednesday.  Appointment with the consultant and he seemed fairly pleased but always difficult to tell as he is a bit deadpan?!

We had a quick sandwich and cup of tea in Maggies and then as the sun was shining decided on a walk around Morden Hall Park.  It was wet underfoot so we stayed on the path and had a quick look around the shop before leaving.  Sadly there was an ambulance in the car park as a lady had collapsed in the shop - hope she is ok as she looked unconscious as they were wheeling her out?

Home to No.1's and we got the sewing machines out and she finished one of the baby quilts - and did a bit more on the second one.  We're improving all the time.  I stayed for dinner as JC was working late (lots in the news about wfh and low productivity - certainly not JC - he ended up working until 10.00 - he has an amazing work ethic but sadly like a lot of employers he is probably not appreciated enough.

Home by 9.00 for quick chat with OH who had spent the day in the garden and was exhausted!  Leaves raked, grass and hedge cut.  Another person with an amazing work ethic!!
