Christmas Tree Festival

Still coughing and sneezing but decided we both needed to get out and enjoy some Christmas spirit so booked a taxi to take us to and from the parish church. We were only out for an hour, looking at the trees, listening to a mandolin performance and munching mince pies, but our little outing did us both the world of good. I’m finally starting to feel festive and even managed to finish writing all my cards for Europe though they won’t go in the post until Monday, the last posting date!

Thanks to Storm Elin it’s been an incredibly windy day, an upstairs window has been sucked open twice and our recycling boxes were blown around the garden. But at least it stayed dry.

Thank you for your kind stars for yesterday’s blip, the shortbread was eight months out of date but tasted lush!
