Over there
It was late morning and the rain was heavy when Abo and I went to Akbuk, to see the villa's refurbishment progress. The kitchen cupboards are all in place, so is the work top. All the electrics are done. The walls are being tiled today. From there, Abo needed to visit some other properties his company is renovating, and I went with him. An entire holiday complex, bigger than I've previously seen, lies around the other side of the bay - guarded, enclosed, and eerily vacant in these winter months. Today's photo was taken on the way back - not a great shot, not least due to the grey skies but at least it stopped raining for a short while. It is on the other side of the bay from where I live, which you can just about see in the distance, on the extreme left. Akbuk is out of shot on the right.
Back home around 3pm, the rest of this day was an at home one. I'm very grateful to Roy and Lyn ( my friends from CoDA)*, who via FB chat this evening have offered to help me tomorrow with the officialdom looming before me regarding paperwork for transporting Harry and Rufus to the UK in a week from now.
*CoDA : registered charity supporting the local ownerless animals in Didim and Akbuk both in the shelter and on the street.
