Treasure Trove

Today was mostly about the delivery of my shipment from Akbuk that started it's overland journey several weeks ago, and some of which (including the items in my pic today), I haven't seen since they were packed up in June 2020 when I left Istanbul.  The large (42cm diameter), heavy handmade dish is Turkish, the glass oil burner is from Poland, and both were gifts many years ago from my dear friend and colleague Lou. The plates are Lesley Ann Ivory cat paintings from Danbury Mint that I collected in the 1990's and took to Istanbul with me, and are now back home in Blighty. These things and many others that I unpacked today, treasures all, sent me down a long and lovely memory lane.
